Responsibilities:
- Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Direct customers to the right department
- Answer any questions about the store, or find someone who can
- Price donations and help stock store shelves
- Keep accurate customer statistics as requested
- Operate cash register accurately and follow written cash/credit policies
- Help customers load purchases as needed, they are responsible for tie-downs
- Follow all ReStore policies and procedures
- Clean specified sections of the store as time
allows
- Dust and organize merchandise by area assigned
- Keep register area clean
- Answer phone
- Answer the phone in a friendly, professional manner
- Write clear, complete phone messages
- Give accurate store information
- If unable to help the customer, try to find someone that can
- Assist customers with donation information
Qualifications:
- Desire to help the Habitat ReStore with its mission of providing funds for the Springfield/Eugene Habitat for Humanity affordable housing program
- Friendly and helpful attitude
- Ability to work as a member of a team
- Ability to communicate policies and procedures clearly to donors and customers
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions accurately
- Ability to:
- lift/move store merchandise on a regular basis
- bend, stoop, stretch, and perform repetitive tasks regularly
- stand for long periods of time
- Customer service experience helpful, but not required
- Willingness and ability to learn register/credit card machine
- Ability to learn store inventory sufficiently to direct customers
