Why Volunteer at the ReStore?

Volunteering in the ReStore can be a rewarding experience. If you’re retired, underemployed and looking for something to do, or you simply want to pitch in on your day off, we’d like to talk to you. It takes lots of volunteers in conjunction with ReStore staff to make the ReStore run efficiently. We are currently looking for volunteers to do cashiering, stocking shelves, and processing donations. It can be a very faced paced environment. We are looking for a commitment of one 4 hour shift during store hours Wednesday-Saturday 11am-6pm and Sunday 11-4pm.

How to become a ReStore Volunteer

Because the ReStore is a public facing retail environment, prospective volunteers must meet with the ReStore Director and Volunteer Coordinator first prior to setting up an account on our volunteer portal. (Please call to set up an appointment 541-741-1701)

We will find out what interests you and see if the ReStore has available slots.

Each volunteer is subject to a background and sex offender screening. Particularly those who will do cash handling.

When all screenings are passed and complete, you will receive an email with a link to register on our volunteer portal and links to our safety videos plus quiz. When you register on the portal you will be required to fill out our Volunteer Waiver and Code of Conduct. After the waiver has been approved and we have received your safety video certificates from Habitat International, we will call to set up your first day of volunteering.

We are excited that you have an interest in the ReStore.

Please contact our volunteer coordinator to learn more.
